Returning

Acrylic on Canvas. 24’’x24’’ Returning is a response to the theme of HOME, and an attempt to articulate the feeling of hope and promise conjured when home comes to mind. Against the backdrop of harsh landscapes, be they physical, societal, political, or emotional - the privilege of warmth and light, is a fragile luxury so often overlooked. Home can be more than a mere structure. Home can be the communities and cultures we choose to thrive in, the food and music we share, or just the person we can’t wait to see at the end of of a hard day. Home is hope on the horizon, a beacon in defiance of a harsh world.
