Jawbone

Inspired by the ossuaries and ritualistic use of bone from many cultures, the Jawbone is an exaggerated mandible formed of scrap wire, nails, and coins, all bound and encased in clay before being painted and varnished. The outcome is functional, totemic and barbaric all at once. A cradle to hold and revere the work of others, in a fitting form. Record in situ is De Toorn from Amenra.
